   Check out the local food venders in various locations. Start with the Breakfast Buffet, 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Centennial Lutheran Church, 855 N. Dakota .
    For lunch the local Boy Scouts will be serving Pork burgers and Brats, 355 N. Central, or try out the Hamburger Feed at  the First Presbyterian Church, 549 N. Central  after the parade till gone. The Eagles will also have a hamburger feed from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
   Then snack on  cotton candy, funnel cakes and more from the Superior Lions Club booth on Central St.   But don't forget the other food vendors found throughout the Festival area.

   Information and ticket booth will be in front of the Vestey Center.

Parade
Everyone loves a parade!  Beginning at 10:30 a.m., (note the new time) join us for the area's largest parade of the year. If you would like more information about how you can participate in the parade - contact us!

The Grand Marshall for the parade this year will be
Lew and Pamela Hunter.

Holly Beavers will sing the National Anthem just before the parade starts at 10:00 a.m.

 

Children's Activities
So many games, you won't want to go home. Giant blow ups for the children, Laser Tag Blaster and Dora Bounce, after parade until  3:30 p.m..  Find these and other games for the children down on Central between 3rd and 4th.  Check out the FFA's Petting Zoo on 4th and Commercial from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Kid's Tractor Pull
A children's tractor pull sponsored by the Eagles will start at 1:00 p.m. on National Street between 3rd and 4th.

  Victorian Tea
The Victorian Tea will be held at the Vestey Center at 3:00 PM.  "Music through the Ages" by Holly Beavers.  Seating is limited and tickets need be purchased in advance by contacting our Chamber of Commerce office or at the Information Booth May 24th if available.  Ticket price is $7:00.

  Home and Historic Tours
Homes will be open from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.  There is a cost at each location. 
The house at 412 E. 7th St. is a Queen Anne Victorian style residence that Mr. Kendall, the town druggist build in 1898.  It also has a small chapel on the property built in 1995. The house is now owned by Wilfred and Helen Miller.

The  house at 849 Washington St. is the residence of  Donn and Sylvia Crilly.  The house was built by Dr. Howard Crilly.

Cake Walk
Try your luck at our traveling cake walk.  The cake walk will be along Central Street, all day.  Cakes are provided by the United Methodist Church.

  Semi Show
Imagine how long it would take to haul a load of merchandise during the good old days or travel to your relatives.  Truck drivers  will display their "pride and joy" on  4th St. between Central and Commercial. You will find them their all afternoon. Come and vote for your favorite.
Trophy will be given late afternoon.

Come help celebrate the 50th Anniversary with special bowling from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Lady Vestey Portrayal
Beverly Beavers will be at the Nuckolls County Museum on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM to do her portrayal of Lady Evelyn Vestey.  Beverly Beavers, a local resident, is a member of the Nebraska Humanities Council, and travels all around the state doing her portrayal of one of Nebraska's great women.

  Book Signing
Stan Sheets will be available at the Vestey Center from 1:00-3:30 p.m. to for book signing and to talk to you about his 3 volume set of books "The first 100 years", the history of Superior.  These books have been years in the making.

  Craft Show
A craft show will be open to the public on 340 Commercial Street just south of the Chamber office and the FFA petting zoo and also at 4th and National.  The craft show will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Dance to "Easy Street" at the  Eagles from  9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

    Nuckolls County Museum                     
The Nuckolls County Museum is one-of-a-kind museum that has pioneer furnishings, a collection of mementos brought back by Lady Vestey and other historical articles of interest.  
The museum will feature living history demonstrations through out the weekend from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m..
Saturday and Sunday the museum will be open from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

  Alumni Banquet
Each year, hundreds of Superior High Alums gather over the Memorial Day Weekend for various class reunions.  Many alums attend the Annual Banquet on Saturday night at the Superior High School. Contact Jan Diehl at 402 879-4242  for details.

The Victorian Festival continues to receive enormous support.  Many of the local businesses have donated money with the community donating many hours of volunteerism.  You can help support the Festival too!  Cash donations are always welcome and tax deductible.  This is a great opportunity for residents, alumni, businesses and visitors to continue Superior's lifelong tradition.....THE GIFT OF CARING.
